Profio is a digital software service (SaaS) delivered entirely online via web browser. There are no physical products, no downloadable software, and no shipping involved. You access the service instantly through your web browser at profio.dev.

Our infrastructure is hosted on SOC 2 Type II certified cloud providers (Vercel, Neon) with a 99.99% uptime guarantee. This means less than 52 minutes of downtime per year on average.

Scheduled Maintenance

We perform maintenance with zero downtime whenever possible. In rare cases where scheduled maintenance is required, we provide at least 7 days advance notice via email and in-app notifications. Maintenance is typically scheduled during low-traffic hours (2:00 AM - 4:00 AM PST).

These records are maintained for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years for financial records (tax compliance requirement). All data is encrypted and access is logged for security purposes.

Failed Transactions & Payment Issues

If Your Payment Fails

If your payment is declined or fails to process, your account will remain on the Free Plan and you will not have access to premium features. Common reasons for failed payments include:

  • Insufficient funds in your account
  • Expired or incorrect credit card information
  • Bank fraud prevention blocking the transaction (especially for international cards)
  • Card does not support recurring payments or online transactions

Automatic Payment Retry Policy

For recurring subscriptions, if a payment fails, we automatically retry the payment using Stripe's Smart Retries:

  • 4 automatic retry attempts over 14 days
  • You receive email notifications before each retry attempt
  • If all retries fail, your subscription is cancelled and you are downgraded to the Free Plan
  • No data is lost - you can reactivate your subscription at any time

How to Update Payment Information

Update your payment method at any time by going to Account Settings → Billing → Payment Method. Changes take effect immediately and will be used for your next billing cycle.

Delayed Access Scenarios (Edge Cases)

In rare circumstances, access to premium features may be delayed beyond the standard 60 seconds:

Fraud Prevention Review (Rare)

Transactions flagged by our fraud detection system (or Stripe/ PayPal's fraud prevention) may be held for manual review. This typically takes up to 24 hours. You will receive an email notification if your transaction is under review. We prioritize legitimate customers and resolve reviews as quickly as possible.

Bank Authorization Delays

Some international credit cards or certain banks require additional authorization time. This can delay payment confirmation by up to 48 hours. If your payment is pending, you will see a "Payment Processing" status in your account dashboard. Contact your bank if authorization takes longer than 48 hours.

Enterprise Manual Activation

Enterprise plans with custom contracts, invoice payment, or special terms require manual activation by our sales team. Activation typically occurs within 1 business day of contract signing or invoice payment. Your dedicated account manager will coordinate activation timing.
