We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with Profio for any reason within 30 days of your initial purchase, you can request a full refund. No questions asked. This guarantee applies only to your first purchase and does not apply to renewals.
To request a refund, email {CONTACT.emails.billing} or contact us through your account settings. Include your account email and reason for cancellation (optional). We typically process refund requests within 24 hours during business days.
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and will be returned to your original payment method. Credit card refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your card issuer. PayPal refunds typically appear within 3-5 business days.
After processing your refund, your paid subscription will be canceled immediately. You will retain access to all your resume data and can continue using our Free plan. You can export your resumes at any time before cancellation. All your data remains accessible on the Free plan.
You can cancel your subscription at any time without fees or penalties. To cancel: Log in to your Profio account, go to Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription, click 'Cancel Subscription', and confirm cancellation. You will receive a confirmation email immediately.
When you cancel, you retain full access to all premium features until the end of your current billing period. If you paid for a monthly plan, you have access until your next billing date. If you paid for an annual plan, you have access until your annual renewal date. No refunds are provided for partial months or unused time after the 30-day guarantee period.
We do not charge any cancellation fees, early termination fees, or penalties when you cancel your subscription. You are only responsible for charges already incurred up to the cancellation date.
You can reactivate your subscription at any time by visiting Settings → Billing → Reactivate. Your previous resume data and settings will be preserved. You will be charged at the current pricing rates, which may differ from your original subscription price.
Monthly plans: Billed every 30 days from your subscription start date. Annual plans: Billed once per year from your subscription start date, offering significant savings compared to monthly billing. You can switch between monthly and annual plans at any time.
All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We send a reminder email 7 days before your subscription renews to notify you of the upcoming charge. This gives you time to cancel if you no longer wish to continue.
You can disable auto-renewal without losing access to your current subscription period. Go to Settings → Billing → Turn Off Auto-Renewal. You will retain access until the end of your paid period, but your subscription will not renew. You can re-enable auto-renewal at any time before the period ends.
If we change our subscription prices, existing subscribers are grandfathered at their current price for the remainder of their subscription period. New pricing will apply only when you renew or upgrade your plan. We will notify you via email at least 30 days before any price increase affects your account.
To request a refund within the 30-day guarantee period, contact our billing team at {CONTACT.emails.billing} or use the 'Request Refund' option in your account settings under Billing. Include your registered email address and optionally provide feedback about your experience (helps us improve).
For security purposes, we may ask you to verify your identity by confirming account details, responding from your registered email address, or providing the last 4 digits of your payment method. This protects your account from unauthorized refund requests.
Refund request review: Within 24 hours during business days (Monday-Friday). Refund processing: 1-2 business days after approval. Return to payment method: 5-10 business days for credit cards, 3-5 business days for PayPal. You will receive email confirmation at each step of the refund process.
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot issue refunds to a different credit card, bank account, or payment method. If your original payment method is no longer valid (expired card, closed account), please contact {CONTACT.emails.billing} for assistance.
If you see an unexpected charge or have a billing concern, please contact {CONTACT.emails.billing} BEFORE filing a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We resolve most billing issues within 24 hours and can often provide immediate refunds or credits. Chargebacks can result in account suspension and legal fees.
If you file a chargeback instead of contacting us directly, your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation. We may be unable to provide refunds for legitimate disputes after a chargeback is filed. Chargeback fees (typically $15-$25) may be added to your account balance. Multiple chargebacks may result in permanent account termination.
If you have a billing dispute, we are committed to resolving it fairly and quickly. Email {CONTACT.emails.billing} with details of the issue. Our team will investigate within 24-48 hours. We will provide a detailed explanation and proposed resolution. If we made an error, we will issue an immediate refund or credit. If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you may escalate to {CONTACT.emails.support}.
If you believe a charge on your account is fraudulent (not made by you), contact us immediately at {CONTACT.emails.security}. We will investigate, freeze your account to prevent further charges, reverse any fraudulent transactions, and assist with securing your account. In cases of fraud, chargebacks are appropriate and will not result in penalties.
Our Free plan is completely free forever with no credit card required. You can use Profio's core features without any payment obligation. There are no refunds to process since you are not charged.
If you cancel your paid subscription, you automatically downgrade to the Free plan. You retain access to all your resume data and basic features. To downgrade, simply cancel your subscription before the next billing date. You can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time.
When you downgrade to Free, you keep: All your resume data and content, ability to edit and update resumes (with Free plan limitations), ability to export resumes in PDF format (watermarked), your account settings and preferences, and access to basic templates. You lose access to: Premium templates, unlimited resumes, advanced AI operations (limited to 5/day on Free), professional tools, advanced analytics, job application tracker, and priority support.
Business and Enterprise plans may have custom contracts with negotiated terms. Refund and cancellation policies for Business and Enterprise customers are defined in your Master Service Agreement (MSA) or Order Form. These terms may differ from our standard refund policy outlined here.
If you are an Enterprise customer with questions about refunds, cancellations, or billing, please contact your dedicated account manager or email {CONTACT.emails.sales}. We work with Enterprise customers individually to ensure satisfaction and resolve any billing concerns.
Enterprise contract terms (including billing frequency, payment terms, and cancellation provisions) can only be modified through a written amendment signed by both parties. Contact your account manager to discuss contract changes.
You can update your payment method at any time without canceling your subscription. Go to Settings → Billing → Payment Method, click 'Update Payment Method', enter your new credit card or PayPal information, and save changes. Your next charge will use the new payment method.
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), we will automatically retry the charge: First retry: Immediately. Second retry: 3 days later. Third retry: 7 days later. Final retry: 14 days later. You will receive email notifications before each retry attempt. After the final retry fails, your subscription will be canceled and you will be downgraded to the Free plan.
To avoid service interruption, update your payment method before your renewal date if your card is expiring soon. We send reminder emails when we detect an upcoming card expiration. You can update your payment method up to the renewal date without affecting your subscription.
We never store your full credit card number on our servers. All payment information is securely stored and processed by our PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processors (Stripe and PayPal). We only store the last 4 digits and expiration date for display purposes in your account settings.
